IVF abroad: what patients ask a clinic before they travel

They ask who regulates you, what the price includes, how you count success, your donor rules and who looks after them at home.

Who regulates you?

Name the regulator, your licence and the law, because the UK regulator tells patients it has "no powers overseas" (HFEA).

What does the price include?

List what the quote covers and what it does not, since patients are warned that low prices "may not include fertility drugs".

How do you count success?

State the age group, the treatment, and whether you count pregnancies or births.

What are your donor rules?

Say whether donors are anonymous, how you screen them, and how many families one donor can help.

Who looks after them at home?

Send the list of tests before the first consultation and hand over the full file at the end.

Where should the answers be?

On one page of your site, in the patient's language.
