Google Ads for fertility clinics: what the healthcare and medicines policy allows
Google allows fertility ads in most countries, but not in 23 listed ones, and not with your own audience lists.
Where are fertility ads banned?
In 23 locations, among them the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, Egypt, China, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Thailand and Ukraine (Google Ads policy).
Can you use your own audience lists?
No: infertility treatment is a sensitive category, so Customer Match and lookalike segments are out, while Google's own audiences are allowed (Google, health in personalized advertising).
What else is not allowed?
Promoting speculative or experimental treatments (Google, healthcare and medicines).
What happens if you break the rule?
Google warns you at least 7 days before it suspends the account.
What should you check before launch?
- No campaign targets a banned location.
- No Customer Match or lookalike audience.
- No add-on sold without evidence.
